Blood Clotting Activator Powder

Blood Clotting Activator Powder (For Blood Collection Tubes)

BLOOD COAGULANT

  • The blood clotting activator powder contains polymers, silica, and enzymes, reducing clotting time to approximately 5 minutes at 25°C, without affecting laboratory tests.
  • Suitable for patients undergoing treatment with Warfarin and Heparin.
  • This powder easily forms a suspension in distilled water and is suitable for spray-drying equipment used in the production of corresponding laboratory tubes.
  • The average particle size of the suspension is less than 50 microns.
The powder is provided along with SND 158, a special clot-enhancing agent.

Preparation Method of BCA Suspension

Add 5 grams of the powder slowly into 50 grams of distilled water (at room temperature) while the container is on a magnetic stirrer. Allow it to mix for 45 minutes until a uniform milky suspension is formed.

Weigh 1.2 grams of SND in a separate container and add 50 grams of distilled water. Preferably, mix with a magnetic stirrer for 10 minutes.

Combine the SND solution with the first suspension and allow them to mix for 15 minutes.

The resulting solution contains 10% dry matter.

The recommended amount per tube is 10–15 mg for each 6 mL blood sample.

The suggested spray volume per tube is 5–6 µL per 1 mL of blood.

During the spraying process, keep the magnetic stirrer running to prevent sedimentation of the suspension.

The prepared suspension is stable for 10 days in the refrigerator, so prepare only the daily required amount.

To prevent moisture absorption by the BCA powder, immediately close the container lid and store it in a cool, dry place.
