Blood coagulation activator powder (for blood collection tubes)
Blood Coagulant
- The blood coagulation activator powder contains polymer materials, silica and enzyme, which reduces the coagulation time to about 5 minutes at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and will not have any effect on laboratory tests.
- Suitable for patients treated with warfarin and heparin
- This powder is easily suspended in distilled water and is suitable for spray-drying devices that produce related laboratory tubes.
- The average size of suspended particles is less than 50 microns.
The powder is provided along with SND 158 for clot improver.
BCA suspension preparation method
- Add 5 grams of powder slowly into 50 grams of distilled water (which has reached room temperature) while your container is rotating on the magnetic mixer. Give it time for 45 minutes to create a uniform milky suspension.
- Weigh 1.2 grams of SND in a separate container and add 50 grams of distilled water to it. Mix it preferably with a magnetic mixer for 10 minutes.
- Mix the solution containing water and SND with suspension number one and let them mix for 15 minutes
- The prepared solution contains 10% dry matter.
- The suggested amount for each tube is 10-15 mg per 6 cc blood tube.
- The amount of spray per tube is recommended to be 5-6 microliters per cc of blood.
- While working with the sprayer, use a magnetic mixer system so that the suspension does not settle.
- The prepared suspension is stable for 10 days in the refrigerator. So try to prepare as much as daily consumption.
- To prevent BCA from absorbing moisture, immediately close the lid of the powder can and store it in a dry and cool place.
